V FESTIVAL: MY EXPERIENCE
As the V Festival Line Up is going to be announced soon, I thought I'd write a little post about my experience there! I look a lot of photos on a disposable camera - so a few of the photos might be a little grainy, just to pre-warn you.
2016 was my first experience of V Fest, I only went for the one day, which was the Sunday, but it was amazing. We went to Weston Park in Staffordshire, considering I live quite close to there I'd never been before. It was a huge site and we got lost a few times (even with a map). Justin Bieber was headlining which was fun! If you read any celebrity news you'll know that he's known for being a little late on stage and messing about instead of singing aaaaand, his set was delayed by around 15 minutes aaaaaand he did have a conversation about Pop Tarts with a dancer. But I can say he was a great headliner. Although I couldn't see much (small girl problems) I still enjoyed his set. He came on around 15 minutes after he was meant to and he did all his recent songs from Purpose and even a few from My World!
Heres a snap of me and my best friend! The weather was all over the place that day. We went from being in the blazing sun and even getting a little sun burnt to it tipping it down. It was that hot that I asked someone to cut my wellies in half - which I later regretted. I still enjoyed the day regardless of the weather!
I had 3 artists I definitely wanted to see that day, (Justin Bieber, Troye Sivan and John Newman) and they all gave a brilliant set in my opinion. The first artist I wanted to see was Troye Sivan. His set was crazy good. I loved every minute of it. Although it was raining heavily while we were waiting for him to come on stage, I didn't care! I was SO excited to see him. He sang mainly songs from the Blue Neighbourhood album but he did sing Happy Little Pill from the TRXYE EP.
The second artist I was eager to see was John Newman. If you know me, you'll know how much I love him. Theres just something about John that I love! His energy on stage was crazy. He even made me cry. John put on an amazing set, he sang classics from the Revolve album and Tribute. I saw a sneaky post on his Instagram of a "Album 3" picture, I'm so excited to hear it and I hope to see John again soon.
There were a lot of stalls full of novelty things which were quite fun to look around. We all had cute little bracelets to remember the day - they were ugly but we loved them! My friend, as you can see, bought a jumper from the one stall which was my favourite. Haha. Louise and Corey found these huge headdresses that cost a ridiculous amount but they had fun trying them on.
I recommend going! Just take a raincoat and wellies.
