I haven't been into Topshop for a verrrrry long time so I thought I'd have a look on their website. I love online shopping more than actual shopping, I feel like I find way more. Here's what I'm wishing for from Topshop this month.
Last weekend I went to Sussex and I'm now counting down the days until I can go back! I l o v e d it there. My friends and I stayed in Camber Sands, next to Rye for 4 days. We went there just as a little getaway and celebration for finishing university.
The first day we got there around 2 in the afternoon and we decided to check in, make our little apartment homely for us all, scope out where we were staying and get some food in the fridge for the weekend. We went into Hastings and sat on the beach for an hour on the evening which was bloomin' lovely! (I think we stopped at every beach we went past in this 45 minute journey, haha.) We live in the midlands and there isn't a beach in sight. Once we went back to the apartment and had our food we went into an arcade.
The second day we decided was going to be the day we went into Brighton. My one friend, Corey, had been there before so he was able to show us around. I fell in love with it instantly! The first thing we decided to do was walk along the beachfront to get onto the pier. As you can tell, we took every opportunity to be on the beach ;-) Louise and I are both terrified of seagulls, so, as you can probably imagine, walking along the pier was a lot of dodging the seagulls and walking into people. We had churros, spent lots of money in the arcade, won lots of tickets and soaked up the sun while having general chat and taking in the view!
If you're going into Brighton and are looking for things to do, I recommend going to the seafront and the pier. If you have a little more time definitely go into the lanes and have a look around at all the cute little shops! Louise and I watch youtube and have seen different bits of Brighton in vlogs so it was so nice to see it all in real life. We went into the Photomatic store, I highly recommend if you want a little keepsake. We went overboard and ended up taking lots of photos.
We also went into Boho Gelato, which we had heard Zoë rave over. So we decided to have a look for ourselves and see what the hype was about. I can honestly say, it lived up to the hype. I had Chocolate Raspberry and Louise had Honey and Banana. On the evening of our second day we went to the Camber Sands beach on the evening/night took a few drinks with us and decided to just have a little beach party. It was quite amusing!
Our penultimate day we decided to go into Brighton again but unfortunately Niall wasn't very well so it ended up just Louise and I going. We had more of a look at the little beach hut shops on the seafront and different parts of the lanes. We found really cute little market stalls and quaint jewellery stores. We thought we had seen everything in the first day we went, but we really hadn't! I wish we had of actually stayed in Brighton itself.
All of us all loved our little holiday and really want to go back. Hopefully we can all organise another one very soon! We were soooo lucky that the weather was lovely while we were there. Many great memories were made and I'm super grateful for Corey, Louise and Niall. Thank you for making the four days the best four days this year!
This modern love is a book full of love letters. It starts with the author, Will Darbyshire, asking questions via social media, that he wanted his viewers/fans to answer. He states in the book he had thousands of replies. I love the way this book is set out and the way Will got his viewers (I say viewers, as he is a YouTuber) involved. I received this book as a Christmas present and I was SO excited to read it. On a pamper evening, not long after Christmas I decided to run myself a bath filled with Lush goodies and have a little read of this. After a while I realised I had read nearly 150 pages.. In my own opinion this is definitely one of those books you don't want to put down! The book took me through a bit of a rollercoaster of emotions. Some good, some bad. My favourite bit about this book is that all the letters are deep and meaningful but I love the funny ones too.
Within two days I had finished the book. The photographs inside speak a thousand words, maybe even words you couldn't say. I love that people were so open writing how they truly felt for someone else.
If you're a softy at heart most of them will tug at the heart strings and make you go 'aww!' some might even make you cry. The saddest thing about this book is the end section. You go from reading lovely sentimental letters to things you just don't want to read. As someone whose happiness radiates from someone elses, I became quite upset reading the last few letters. If you're anything like me, then I would recommend reading END - MIDDLE - START instead. Haha.
Another Wishing Weekly for you today, Hope you enjoy or even get inspo from it.
First thing I'm lusting over this week is fully Black Converse, I have fully white, white & black, white & burgundy and white & navy. I love wearing converse, you can either dress them up or dress them down and I love it!
The second thing on my wishlist this week is the 90s crop tops, they're the cutest thing I've seen. Hoping to get my paws on some of these this month.
The third thing I'm hoping to snatch this week is the new Daisy range by Marc Jacobs, It's such a lovely smell. If you get chance to have a sniff, do so!
I need some Zoeva brushes in my life, I don't know when I'll be able to get them but hopefully this month! Pay day hurry up!! :-)
Macs Huggable lip colours are the best, I love the colours. If I'm able to get one I'll do a review for you all.
All photos are found on either the product website or google.
I thought I'd do a little Midweek haul for you. I popped to Boots this afternoon and of course I caved at the 3 for 2 offer and ended up spending £30 on 7 items, woops.
£10
The first thing I got was the Soap and Glory Archery brow tint and precision shaping pencil. I swatched this in the shop and the brow tiny felt was amazing. I was so happy that I picked this up, I can't wait to try it out properly.
£6.99
The second thing I picked up was the L'oreal Super Liner, I've heard so many people rave about how good this is so I had to pick it up and give it a go!
£4.99 but I got mine as the free one!
I've been wanting to pick up a Colour Tattoo 24H for a long time now and I'm so glad I did. I got Number 35, On and on Bronze. Unfortunately the swatches in the shop had all dried up and you couldn't get any swatches from them. I just went with one that I knew I would wear and one that I'd heard people rave about!
Browdrama £4.99
Collection Lashcare £1.99 (mine was the free one, again)
As you can probably tell by now I went for one eyebrow 'thing' and then ended up with three! I saw a youtuber (I can't remember who) raving about the Browdrama so of course I had to try it out. I had also seen someone else talk about Clear eyebrow gel/mascara and how good it was to set your brows.
Micellar cleansing water £2.99
Stay Matte £3.99
Stay Matte is a staple of mine, of course I was going to pick one up. Whereas the Micellar water I had never tried but had seen multiple bloggers comment on how they loved it so again I had to try it. Plus it was half price, So why not!?
That's everything I got, I hope you enjoyed this midweek post.
If so I'll try and post more. Let me know what you would like to see next or if you would like reviews/swatches on any of these items.
Just a quick mid-week blogpost to show you guys my pamper evening essentials!
First of all I like to get all my favourite bath-time things together such as: my face mitt, favourite bath bomb, my Soap and Glory collection, the book i'm reading, my iPad and my cleanser. I lay out everything where I want them for example my Soap and Glory collection at the bottom of the bath etc. I like to run my bath then add a dab of my bubble bath and while I'm waiting for my bath to fill up a bit more I'll take my make-up off and cleanse my face. Once it's nearly full I add my bath bomb (my favourites are from Bomb Cosmetics). Once I've used my Soap and Glory scrub of your life and I've used the Body Shop Strawberry Shower gel I'll take some time to relax and read a chapter of my book or even watch Eastenders on my iPad. I then wash my hair over the bath with the shower head and that's the bath side of it all.
I use the righteous butter, heel genius and hand food from Soap and Glory for once I'm out of the bath. Then I stick on a onesie or some comfy pyjamas and paint my nails (which is changed throughout the week atleast 3 times!) while I'm waiting for my nails to dry I play a game of spider solitaire on my iPad, and that's pretty much it!
We've come to the end of another month again and its time for my monthly favourites so here we go!
This is everything I've been loving in December.
The first thing I've been loving this month is the Justin Bieber Girlfriend perfume, I usually get a new celebrity perfume for Christmas and I still had half of this bottle left so I tried to use it up so that I could make way for my new celeb perfume and I realised how much I actually liked it so now I'm trying to savor every bit of it! I may just have to re-purchase.
The second thing I've been loving this past month is dry hair shampoo, I don't use this as a 'quick way to wash your hair' kind of product I use it for more volume although my hair is very very very thick.. my hair is also very long so it goes flat super quickly, I love this floral-y sort of scent so I got one to put in my bag as a as-you-go product. I highly recommend this scent.
The next thing I'm lusting over this month is having some 'me' time. December is a very busy month for me.Yes, I have two weeks off from sixth form but I still go to work and do extra shifts and have sixth form work to finish etc so whenever I've been able to have an hour or two off I'll grab a Bath Bomb, a book and a candle. Last month I was reading The Perks Of Being A Wallflower but this month I've decided to start reading 14,000 Things To Be Happy About, I enjoy seeing other people happy so I thought surely I'd enjoy this book and I'm sure I'd relate to some of them!
This is a strange way to start a new favourite paragraph but I have small/short nails naturally but this month I've had acrylics on to help me grow my natural nails and personally I think rings with longer nails look so much nicer than my short horrible nails so the last time I grew my nails I got some Midi Rings and then stopped growing my nails so I stopped wearing them but now that I've got acrylics on.. out come the rings. (I got to the point in the end) I've been loving wearing Midi Rings this month, they're so cute!
The last thing I've been loving this month is Dollie Pumps, I'm usually always wearing converse, vans or boots etc but this month (despite the cold) I've loved wearing Dollie Pumps. I have this exact pair in tan (as shown above) and in Black Suede. I love them so much they're so cute. I need to get myself some more!
Now that it's the end of November and the start of December I thought I'd share some of my favourites this month. Unfortunately the photos will be from the internet as at the moment I don't have a camera (apart from my iPhone) but here we go!
The first thing I'm loving this month is the Clean and Clear deep cleansing lotion for sensitive skin. The reason I love this product is because after a long day of wearing a face full of make-up you obviously want to remove it, so after I've used either baby wipes or make-up remover wipes to get most of my make-up off I'll use this and just by looking at the cotton wool pad (or whatever you like to use) you can tell it's all off of your face. I love the way my skin feels after using this product, I highly recommend it!
The next thing I'm loving is the Soap and Glory Foam Call. My friend got me this along with a couple other Soap and Glory products for my birthday back in July but I was trying to use up one body wash before using this one. From the moment I opened it and used it I instantly loved it. I'm 3/4 of the way through the bottle but I will most definitely be re-purchasing it! It smells so nice and again, I highly recommend it.
Another thing I'm lusting over this month is my tangle teezer. For those who know me you'll know how long and thick my hair is, it's a nightmare but this 'brush' is the best thing I've used on my hair so far! It doesn't hurt when getting tangles out and I've certainly noticed a difference with my hair. It doesn't pull my hair out as much as the others! I've always had my hair fall out very easily but not so much now I've being using this brush.
Although most "montly favourites" are beauty related items I thought I'd jazz mine up a bit and add in something different. My fourth montly favourite is a Peter Pan Collared Top from Matalan. I got this top while looking for sixth form clothes and I love it. As soon as it's been washed its on again and my mom despises washing it as it's hand wash only! It reminds me of the one that Zoella wears (I believe hers is from Ted Baker). Although its a different colour to Zoe's I still love it.
As we all know it's always cold in England but in November I noticed a sudden temperature drop, so instead of venturing to go out with my friends I decided to stay in and read a book (exciting, I know). The book I decided to read was The Perks Of Being A Wallflower. I got hooked while reading this book it was an amazing read. I was really upset when I finished reading it because I fell in love with Charlie as a character. So I then decided to get it on DVD. I highly recommend that you either buy the DVD or read the book because it's such an amazing story.
Around Feb/March time this year there was a series on Channel 4 called Gogglebox and my family and I decided to give it ago to see what the hype was about from the critics. I can honestly say watching someone else watch TV is hilarious, I've never laughed so much. And this month it started up again, I LOVE watching it. I've got all of my friends hooked. Its so funny, If you've ever thought about watching it - do it!
Now that I’m learning to manage my money properly I’ve made a new polyvore as I’m prone to splurging out on a new outfit, I find that making outfit sets help me save! So the past three weeks I’ve made a new outfit set every week. Here they are!
After much debate I've convinced myself to finally start a blog. I've been wanting to do one for some time now but I had no self confidence and thought nobody would read it as there are so many good blogs out there! Another reason I didn't want to start one was because I had no idea how to style or start my blog. So for now it will be very simple! Sorry about that.
I thought that I'd start my blog because I take a huge interest in YouTube beauty gurus such as: SprinkleOfGlitter, Zoella, Tanya Burr, PixiWoo etc. Although I'd love to be a YouTuber I just don't have the confidence so I thought I should start a blog as most of them have one! Another reason I thought about starting up a blog is because I'm going to UNI to study Fashion And Textiles and I thought this would be a good way to start reviewing fashion in preparation for UNI!
The main theme for my blog is Fashion, Beauty and I might add some photos of my art work - My theme is a lot like the big beauty gurus. Not that I'm trying to copy or be them this theme just interests me.
I'm looking forward to starting my blog and posting every week! I hope you enjoy reading.
